STATEMENT OF BELIEFS

  WE BELIEVE...

1. A Christian University should be non-denominational and should be an environment where God’s people come to study the Scriptures and be taught the Word of God without pressure of doctrinal and personal beliefs. Cornerstone provide a hub where learning in conducive. A willingness to accept the Holy Bible as your sole guide is first step to acceptance to CCUS.

2. A Christian University should grade its students based on their ability to do their work, understanding the content of their work, applying what they have learned, but not on doctrinal differences. God is not divided, we want to be.

3. That God has believers in every church, every denomination and that no church is of absolute perfection. We all depend on the guidance of the Holy Spirit to enlighten us in the Scriptures.

4. That God verbally inspired the Scriptures (both the Old and New Testaments), which are, infallible. The Scriptures become the supreme and final authority for faith and practice.

5. In the One True God, the deity of Jesus Christ, His virgin birth and His bodily resurrection on the third day after His death.

6. In the power and the manifestation of the Holy Spirit of God that impacts believers to do the work of the Lord.

7. In the physical return of Jesus Christ to rule this world with his resurrected saints. Death, which is man’s last enemy, will be no more. Resurrected believers will receive eternal life and the unbelievers will receive eternal death.

8. That Salvation is a gift offers to man through Grace and that the conditions to salvation are acceptance, repentance, faith and obedience to the Word of God. God does force anyone to accept His gift of salvation.

9. That all believers should study the Scriptures to show that they are “approved unto the man” and to “correctly divide the word of truth.” Believers need also to always be prepared to defend their faith. In-depth scriptural study is the sole responsibility of each Christian. No one else should decide whether or not a Christian should study. The scripture already commands it.

10. That man is justified by faith alone and is accounted righteous before God only through the merit of the Lord Jesus Christ. Jesus Christ is the only way to salvation.

11. That all believers are called to a life of separation from all worldly and sinful places and alliances and unto a life of dedication to Jesus Christ. All sins (big or small) cut us off from God, unless repented for.

12. That Cornerstone Christian University and Seminary is the friendliest Christian university and seminary where you can study with no worry of your doctrinal beliefs being ridiculed.

 CORNERSTONE uses instructors from various denominations and their beliefs are respected as well as yours and ours. This approach makes CCUS one of the friendliest university and seminaries in the nation without compromising the absolute truth. We are in the Ministry of illuminating the world with the Word of God.
